Finally, a finished quilt! I can hardly believe it. Luckily I had the deadline of the recipient's first birthday party on Sunday. I'm really happy with it but it's looking a little scrumpled in the photos. I really need to get my act together in that department (I'm allergic to ironing). And it's my first quilt with a label! I used the printable fabric, worked well I think. The fabric is all It's a Hoot by Moma for Moda. Perfect for a little girl I think, without being too traditional.
I'm just finishing the hand stitching on another quilt so hopefully will have pics to post this week.
Hi Catherine
ReplyDeleteI'd like to know the nitty gritty of this quilt since I have one It's A Hoot charm pack (maybe I need a second). Did you use charm packs? I'm a newbie Aussie quilter too.
Cheers
Dolores
Hi Dolores!
ReplyDeleteSo easy to make and a great starting project, but I think you'd need another charm pack (depending on how big you want your quilt to be). I used two charm packs, 84 squares in total and made mine 7 squares by 12. Then added a border to make it up to a single bed quilt size (ish). Hope that helps! let me know if you need to know anything else.
Catherine.
